Trip along Grand Union Canal

Took the trail along the Grand Union Canal today. The canal path was a bit rough in places but no problem for the Brompton. A sunday so lots of other bikers along the route. Great for mountain bikes.

The Garmin 810

Just purchased the Garmin Edge 810. Its been great in recording all my rides. With mounts on all the bikes there is increased incentive to do the extra kms. I record all the daily rides to work as well as the longer rides when I have time. At present clocking about 100kms per week. Hope to increase this  over the next few weeks so that I reach a reasonable level of fitness for Europe.

Edge 810
Edge 810 is an advanced, touchscreen GPS bike computer with maps that’s designed for the cyclist who wants it all — navigation and advanced training capabilities. It includes a built-in basemap with basic navigation capabilities, plus it’s compatible with optional detailed street or topographic maps for navigation and guidance on and off-road.

Started training again for Trip to UK

Used the green  Brompton on this ride. I go a little slower but it is very comfortable to ride. Surprising! I think the road bike forces me to push harder so come back quicker but with aches in neck and back.
